Traffic Stop Leads to Firearm and Driving Offence Charges – Regina, Saskatchewan
Regina Police have charged three men after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a sawed-off rifle, bulletproof vests, and other weapons.
🚨 Traffic Stop Leads to Firearm and Driving Offence Charges – Regina, Saskatchewan
On October 2, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., police observed a vehicle heading west on 4th Avenue operating without any lights. Officers initiated a traffic stop and when they approached the vehicle, they observed three people inside.
Initial investigation revealed the driver did not possess a valid license and the vehicle, which belonged to one of the passengers, was unregistered. The second passenger had an outstanding warrant and was taken into custody. As the driver and passengers were exiting the vehicle, officers observed what appeared to be a sawed-off rifle on the floor behind the front passenger seat. Both the driver and the remaining passenger were arrested as a result.
A search of the vehicle, subsequent to the arrests, resulted in the following items being located and seized:
- Loaded sawed-off rifle
- 2 x bulletproof vests
- Axe
- Brass knuckles
- Airsoft gun
- Other gun parts
As a result of the investigation, 22-year-old Brayden OLSON is charged with:
- Careless Storage of a Firearm [CC 86(2)]
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon [CC 90]
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized [CC 92(1)]
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm in Motor Vehicle [CC 94(1)]
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Firearm [CC 95(1)]
