🚨 Sarnia Man Charged After Being Found in Family’s Hot Tub
On Saturday, August 9, 2025, at approximately 7:50 a.m., police were called to the 900 block of King Street in Sarnia after a male was discovered bathing in a backyard hot tub.
The residence belongs to a young family. That morning, the parents were preparing to take their small children outside to play. When the mother opened the back door to check the weather, she immediately saw a male in their hot tub. She alerted her husband, who confronted the man and called police.
Officers arrived to find a disheveled individual, soaking wet, walking away from the deck area. He identified himself to police, and further investigation revealed he was subject to two probation orders.
Edward HICKENS, 51, of no fixed address, was held for bail on the following charges:
- Mischief
- Breach probation ×2
He was later released in bail court with conditions not to return to the address.

🚨 Un homme accusé à Sarnia après avoir été trouvé dans le spa d’une famille
Le samedi 9 août 2025, vers 7 h 50, la police a été appelée dans le secteur du 900, rue King à Sarnia après qu’un homme a été découvert en train de se baigner dans le spa extérieur d’une cour arrière.
La résidence appartient à une jeune famille. Ce matin-là, les parents se préparaient à amener leurs jeunes enfants dehors pour jouer. Lorsque la mère a ouvert la porte arrière pour vérifier la météo, elle a immédiatement vu un homme dans leur spa. Elle a alerté son mari, qui a confronté l’homme et appelé la police.
À leur arrivée, les agents ont trouvé un individu en désordre, trempé, s’éloignant de la terrasse. Il s’est identifié aux policiers et l’enquête a révélé qu’il faisait l’objet de deux ordonnances de probation.
Edward HICKENS, 51 ans, sans adresse fixe, a été détenu en vue d’une audience de mise en liberté sous caution pour les accusations suivantes :
- Méfait
- Manquement à une probation ×2
Il a ensuite été libéré par le tribunal avec des conditions lui interdisant de retourner à cette adresse.
