🚨 Remains of Missing Calgary Man Robert Mainland Found – Death Now a Homicide Investigation
The Calgary Police Service has confirmed that the remains of a man reported missing in January 2023 have been located, and the case is now being treated as a homicide investigation.
📍 Robert Stanley Mainland, who was also known as Bobby or Bubbles, was last seen in the Forest Lawn neighbourhood, near a 7-Eleven store in the 5300 block of 17 Avenue S.E.
In May 2024, human remains were found at an undisclosed location outside Calgary. Due to the condition of the remains, it took several months to positively identify them as Robert’s.
Investigators now believe Robert was the victim of foul play, and his death is being actively investigated as a homicide.

🚨 Les restes de Robert Mainland retrouvés à Calgary – Décès considéré comme un homicide
Le Service de police de Calgary a confirmé que les restes d’un homme porté disparu en janvier 2023 ont été retrouvés, et que le décès fait maintenant l’objet d’une enquête pour homicide.
📍 Robert Stanley Mainland, également connu sous les noms de Bobby ou Bubbles, avait été vu pour la dernière fois dans le quartier Forest Lawn, près du magasin 7-Eleven situé dans le bloc 5300 de la 17e Avenue S.E.
En mai 2024, des restes humains ont été découverts à un endroit non divulgué à l’extérieur de Calgary. En raison de leur état, plusieurs mois ont été nécessaires pour les identifier formellement comme étant ceux de Robert.
Des démarches supplémentaires ont permis aux enquêteurs de conclure que Robert a été victime d’un acte criminel. Son décès fait maintenant l’objet d’une enquête pour homicide.
