🚨 Death of 30-Year-Old Woman Under Investigation in Summerford, Newfoundland
Twillingate RCMP are investigating the death of a 30-year-old woman following an incident in the water in Summerford on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
Officers responded to a report of a woman in the water. The woman was located unresponsive and was transported by emergency medical services to hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has been engaged and the investigation is ongoing.
RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends, and community of the deceased.

🚨 Décès d’une femme de 30 ans à Summerford (Terre-Neuve) – Enquête en cours
La GRC de Twillingate enquête sur le décès d’une femme de 30 ans après un incident survenu dans l’eau à Summerford, le dimanche 17 août 2025.
Les agents ont répondu à un signalement concernant une femme trouvée dans l’eau. Elle a été retrouvée inconsciente puis transportée par les services médicaux d’urgence à l’hôpital, où son décès a été constaté.
Le Bureau du médecin légiste en chef a été saisi du dossier et l’enquête se poursuit.
La GRC de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador offre ses plus sincères condoléances à la famille, aux amis et à la communauté de la victime.
